Anyone who knows me knows that I love blush pink newborn sessions! Well, I love any type of pastel colors but especially love blush!
We’ve been planning newborn baby Blake’s session for quite some time. The new Momma and Daddy, Becca and Derek and I have been working together since they wanted to announce the news that they found out they were expecting a baby girl!
During our first session it was a cold, but sunny winter day. We headed out to the local apple orchard to take a few photos to announce the news that their little baby to be is a girl! They brought along a little chalk board with her chosen name displayed on it, to use during this session. If you’d like to see more from that session view that blog post here.
Come spring we were ready to set out to photograph their maternity session. Again, BLUSH. We incorporated Blake’s little stuffed owl in the session and ended with one of my beautiful blush gowns. Becca was absolutely stunning and wore the gown beautifully. It had started to rain, it was freezing by the end of the session but the moody clouds made for a beautiful scene. While Becca shivered in the cold I photographed away and created some stunning images of her.
Baby Blake arrived a couple weeks before her due date to my surprise! We quickly got her scheduled and I started working on the final details of her session. Incorporating a lot of… yes, blush, into her session and also some neutral colors and grays per their request.
Blake had more smiles during her session then I can say I have ever witnessed in one newborn session! She is one happy baby. Every time she drifted back off to sleep another smile would appear and I would quickly capture it before it disappeared. Here is one of my favorites from her session. Blake with her little stuffed owl. Her parents will be displaying this on a beautiful 16×24 Heirloom wood piece of artwork in their home!
Here is another of this happy little squish. There is another smile!
I love this sweet image of little Blake. So preciously sleeping. She has the squishiest little arms!
Blake’s newborn gallery is absolutely gorgeous, it is so hard to select which images to share with you all. I wish I could share each and every one of them! Here is one of Blake as she woke up during her session.
It has been such a pleasure working with you Becca and Derek and meeting your new baby girl. She is so beautiful. I can’t wait to see how much she has changed and grown by her one year session!
