Sharing a family of four! This is a unique story. Mom, Tara is a fellow photographer in Massachusetts. We met on a photography forum and realized we live rather close to each other. She hasn’t had her family photos updated in years and my family was longing for a family session of our own, on a beach. Tara and I thought it would be a wonderful idea if we photographed each others families. She lives a bit closer to the beach and I live in Central Massachusetts. She shared a location with me that she really loves, in Concord, MA. I had never been myself and was excited to check out a new place and fulfill her request to have her family session there. We headed to the North Bridge Visiting Center one evening in August. We had the most gorgeous evening and gorgeous lighting a photographer could ask for. Her family was amazing to photograph. Her children were very well behaved and I captured some gorgeous images for her family.
Tara requested we capture a family image taken at a distance so she can have a large piece of wall art created for their home. This is one of the family images created with this end goal. They are stunning. The sun is stunning. The location is stunning.
Another image captured in this same location and similar posing a little closer up to see the detail in their faces, however still incorporating the landscape into the image.
Another fabulous image!
When Tara and I discussed our portrait sessions, what is most important to us, what do we want to capture, what images are a must have etc. we both wanted to have an image from our session of just us with our spouse. We both haven’t had a professional photo since our wedding days! If you stop and think about it, I image the majority of us would say the same. It isn’t always a priority when we have beautiful children in our lives. We make sure to always have updated photos of them but sometimes forget how important, for us and our children it is, to have an updated image of just their parents. I created several images of them together, but here is one of the lovely couple.
I even took an updated headshot for Tara. I do not specialize, nor offer headshots, but it was fun to add it into this session to provide her with an updated image of herself to use on her own website and social media. Us photographers, we’re always on the other side of the camera! During our session, Tara updated my headshot as well, you can see that image as my profile on my Facebook page here.
Thank you Tara and your family! We had an awesome session with you at the beach and I enjoyed creating these images for your family!
