Check out this recent Newborn Photography Session at my studio conveniently located outside Worcester, MA. in Leominster.
I recently had a beach maternity session with this lovely couple expecting their rainbow baby boy. He surprised us all when he arrived a few weeks early. He was a dream to photograph. Such a sleepy and snuggly baby boy. I captured a gorgeous gallery for his family with many different poses, so many beautiful images it is hard to select which ones to share!
Prior to his session when his parents and I were planning the details they expressed interest in the colors gray and baby blue but also mentioned a few black and white images would be nice.
This is one of my favorite black and white portraits created during his session. Where baby Cole appears to be held by his new parents loving hands.
I love incorporating newborn family photography images whenever possible. The love for their new baby is so apparent in these images and are always some of my favorites from each session. Aren’t they a beautiful family!?
This is one of my favorite images to create during my newborn sessions. I love the look of canvas giving the image a painterly and timeless feel. This would be absolutely stunning on cotton paper and framed.
Sleepy baby in a sleepy cap snuggling up with a teddy bear, I love it!
When I photographed this couples maternity session I added a light pastel rainbow to the sky in honor of their daughter. For their newborn session with their rainbow baby I wanted to incorporate something similar and selected this beautiful felted rainbow and took a close up image of his little toes.
This image is just too sweet. I love how we can see his whole face and all the details. Newborn babies seem to change and grow right before your eyes. Being able to capture them in their first couple of weeks and seeing exactly what they looked like when they were just so tiny is something that is really close to my heart. When my husband and I started our own family, newborn photography wasn’t so much a “thing” just yet. Newborn photography started sometime around the time we had our first baby. It was so new it wasn’t something I had seen prior to the birth of our first little one. I would have absolutely loved to have images like these of our children. I’m going a bit off track here, bare with me for just a few. We had our first baby photographed at a chain studio when he was three months old and repeated the same thing for our second child at the same age so we would have images to compare. When we were expecting our third child is when I made it my mission to become a newborn photographer! Our third baby was the first newborn I ever photographed, which is pretty special. At that moment I knew I had to start a photography business, and that is how Lindsay O’Connell Photography started.
Any way, thank you for sticking with me there. Now back to baby Cole!
One more special image to share and then I’m done and I can go home… (bonus points if you know what song I’m singing)
This image shows little Cole all wrapped up, so tiny and sweet.
