I hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful weather we are finally experiencing. I have been one busy bee lately, with beautiful outdoor sessions, and of course spending time with my family. Today I am sharing a spring apple orchard maternity session, which took place a couple months ago in our local apple orchard. This location has become on of my favorite spots this spring. I am looking forward to many more sessions here!
This year I started offering a Petite Maternity Session. This is something I haven’t offered before, and I am so glad that the idea came to mind and I started to implement it at the start of 2018. Previously I offered a one hour session outside. During this time I would recommend that the clients come wearing coordinating outfits of their choice. I would photograph the couple in those outfits first and around the half way point we would have the expectant momma change into a gown from my collection, of her choice. The Petite Maternity Session is half the amount of time. 30 minute session, which doesn’t allow enough time for changing. With this option I allow the client to decide if they would like to wear their own outfit selections for the duration of the session or if they would like to use one of my gowns. Everyone opts to use a gown, I would do the same. The gowns that are available are absolutely stunning, and when does one have the opportunity to really show off this beautiful time in something other than everyday attire. They’re fun sessions, quick for the man who doesn’t want to have his picture taken *wink* *wink* and I am still able to capture a full gallery of gorgeous images to select from.
This couple opted for my petite maternity and full newborn session package, which is also new this year. If you would like more information on this package I can be easily reached here It combines the option to have a maternity session, while still receiving all the wonderful things about a full newborn session, at a significantly discounted rate.
Kristie and Chad are expecting their first child in July and are team green! For those of you who may not be familiar with that term, team green means you are waiting until your baby’s birth day to find out the gender. I always find it impressive when a couple can wait the entire term of their pregnancy. My husband and I were always too anxious to know! The third time around for us, we were going to wait. We made it through the 20 week ultrasound and all. Until my husband just couldn’t wait anymore, so we called the doctors office and found out. Ha!
Kristie opted for this beautiful gown. It’s a beautiful cream color with a lace top and long lace sleeves. It is a pretty popular gown, it’s been selected more times then anything else in my closet. I actually designed this one myself and contacted a Etsy seller I had previously worked with, to see if she would be able to make it for me. And she did!
As a side note, I have loaded my closet with a bunch of new maternity gowns. I haven’t had the chance to use them all yet but here is a blog that shows some of what is available and I will update it as I have new images available. GOWNS
I love the emotion you can just feel in this image. Such a special time in their lives. I am so happy I was able to capture and create these images for them.
