This fall season has certainly been a busy one between family sessions and newborn babies arriving all around the same time! The weather has been unfortunate to say the least. Does anyone feel like we totally missed out on fall? So much rain, and really not a lot of foliage to admire. It seems it went from summer, to a wet fall and we skipped the vibrant beautiful colored trees and went straight into a rustic brown feel everywhere.
Amidst the busy rush of family sessions a bunch of baby boys were born. I always find it so interesting how the newborn babies on the schedule all seem to arrive right around the same time, regardless of their due dates. And this month, it was all boys!
This baby boy was a little miracle. I had a Maternity Session scheduled with this wonderful couple and a week prior to their scheduled date they contacted me with the news that their baby boy already had arrived! He spent some time in the NICU but is so strong and did so well he got to go home after a few weeks. He gained a lot of weight in that time and came to the studio just under 9 lbs., nice pounds of healthy baby cuteness!
He was almost 8 weeks old by time he got to come to the studio for his newborn session. And I was completely shocked at how sleepy he was. He totally rocked his newborn session, slept through the entire thing, and the resulting images are breathtaking!
That little face and those sweet little toes. He is one precious little guy! I absolutely love bonnets. They so beautifully frame the face of a newborn baby, and I just love showing those adorable faces off.
The simplicity of the tones used in these images complimented his creamy baby skin in such an amazing way.
During a newborn session I will photograph a newborn baby in several different set ups. The previous images were taken on a nice textured cream fabric. I carried that color scheme throughout the session and incorporated different props and textured for a beautiful cohesive gallery of images that can be displayed in any room of the home.
He was so amazing during his session that we completed the newborn images in record timing, and moved on to capturing some family images. I love photographing each parent with their new baby, and creating a beautiful family image for their home as well. These were my favorites of the parent/newborn images…
Can you say, GORGEOUS?!
In this image I captured him being held in his father’s arms.
And there we have it! A summary of some of my favorite images created during this newborn session, I hope you enjoyed them! If you or someone you know is searching for a newborn and baby photographer, get in touch, I’d love to hear from you. I can be easily reached here.
